Bodynamics - bodyoriented phsycotherapy

Bodynamic therapy (or Bodynamic analysis) is a somatic-developmental psychotherapy. It maps childhood development, linking specific muscle responses to emotional and relational stages. Developed in Denmark by Lisbeth Marcher, it helps clients resolve developmental and shock trauma by releasing held-back abilities and building new psychological competencies (bodynamics.com)

 How does it work?

Bodynamics allows to pinpoint where the body and the phsyce are not in a resoursful state, which is manifested by hyper or hipo tension of the tissues in the body. To then link it to a certain developmental stage, as our physical body "switches on" certain muscle groups actively during certain stages of phsycological development. Such a link allows us to find the rout to the "place" were the loss of the resource once happened and then, working both by talking and engaging the body, we are either training the hipo responsive muscle to be felt, controlled and being able to engage, or a hyper responsive one to be felt and controlled to be able to let go. In parallel with this a new phsycological capacity becomes available and been trained to be fully functional.
